New Development Spotlight: The Hall House at Alexander Hall

You may remember hearing about  SGA Companies’ development Alexander Hall when we first featured the three stunning condos in November. We mentioned that the development also included a historic, single family residence, the Hall House. Well, this much awaited home is now on the market.

The history of the property is almost as grand as the development itself. Located in Georgetown’s quiet east end, the Hall House was built in 1806 as a two-story residential building surrounded by lush gardens.  After being purchased by a presidentially decorated astronomer, Asaph Hall, in 1868, the Hall house gained an additional floor and was extensively renovated to mirror the Italian architectural stylings of the time. Nearly 50 years later, trustees of the Alexander Memorial Baptist Church purchased the property from Hall’s descendants and built a sanctuary on the property.  The home remained under the care of the church until SGA Companies purchased the 207 year old home and the sanctuary in 2015. Under SGA Companies’ careful direction both properties have been transformed into stunning residences.

While the Hall House’s interiors have been transformed, the façade is similar to Asaph Hall’s original expansion of the house in 1868. Many of the Italian architectural elements remain today. The interiors have been updated extensively to meet the demands of the twenty-first-century consumer.

The Hall House has 7 spacious bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms across three floors, all accessible by elevator. The bedrooms and living spaces are floored with an exquisite dark wood which provides a beautiful contrast to the soft white of the walls and built-ins. The bathrooms feature grey tiles that perfectly match the counters and backsplash used throughout.

The kitchen is equally beautiful, with a long island, Subzero/Wolf appliances, large double fridges, food warmers, and 2 beautiful sinks. Natural light floods through the windows and doors in the kitchen. Just off the kitchen is a large back patio that is perfect for entertaining. There is also a wine cellar on the lower level, perfectly suited for supplying your guests with libations from your collection.

Nestled in Georgetown’s east end, the Hall House is steps away from M street’s wonderful boutiques, as well as the included amenities of the Four Seasons Hotel just blocks away.

Located at 2715 N Street Northwest and listed for $6,795,000. Hall House is perfectly located, extraordinarily designed by the SGA Companies and the timeless luxury every buyer dreams of.
