Sometimes, we take a break from all things real estate and the summer heat to enjoy experiences and opportunities unique to DC. This week we are all about the Icebergs that have been spotted downtown: the National Building Museum has a new, innovative exhibit ICEBERGS, designed by James Corner Field Operations.

The immersive experience brings ice-inspired structures to the football-length gallery of the National Building Museum. The structures are built of re-usable construction materials that we are all-too-familiar with: scaffolding and paneling, among other items. Visitors can climb the highest iceberg to a viewing or wander beneath the “ocean” on an undersea bridge.

Check out some of the local coverage (WAMU, WaPo) about the exhibit, which runs through September 5.
